For a recently completed 9,000+ SF home in Medina, Northwest Custom Interiors provided the interior doors, all of the cabinets, the running trim, curved woodwork, and racking and casework for the wine cellar. In addition, they finished all of the millwork—every bit of which is hand-distressed, stained, clear-coated, and glazed. The racking and casework for the 5,000 bottle wine cellar is white oak and was fumed on site. The wine cellar, with a custom door by NWCI, is spectacular and is the highlight of the home. NWCI’s service and quality were first-rate from shop drawings to mockups, through fabrication and finishing. And with that level of quality, I was particularly impressed with their rate of production. As it turned out, we used NWCI to install much of the cabinets and trim, including the wine cellar. Their installers were excellent. They were efficient while maintaining the level of quality control that we enjoyed through fabrication and finishing. Since the owners have moved in, they’ve engaged NWCI to build some custom furniture in keeping with the cabinetry. In short, I look forward to working with NWCI on future projects. Alan and his crew are the sort of people that make custom homes possible, and I recommend them without reservation.
