Alan Bridgman
President & Owner
Originally from Alaska, Alan and his family moved to the Seattle area in 1985. Alan has 25 years of woodworking and carpentry experience, and is proud to be a part of maintaining American-made manufacturing. Alan’s primary roles are business development, estimating, and scheduling. When not pinned behind the desk, Alan can be found on the shop floor, or playing outdoors in the great Pacific Northwest.
Holly Bridgman
Operations Manager
Holly joined NWCI in 2007 as the Operations Manager. A true Seattle native with a lifelong interest in building and creating, Holly graduated from University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and a Certificate of Construction Management. In her free time, Holly loves skiing, taking her boxer Daffy for hikes, spending time with her nephews, and cheering for the Seahawks and Huskies.
Phillip Shire
Engineer
Phillip was raised all over the western US, and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in mathematics. He has a diverse build background, including cabinetry, trade show and museum pieces, and extensive experience in metal fabrication. Phillip has been engineering custom casework and furniture for more than 12 years. In his spare time he likes to spend time with family, and enjoys the outdoors. He also likes to spend time building in the garage.

Joshua Atkins | Woodworker
Joshua was raised in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Community and Environmental Planning and a minor in Classical Guitar Performance. After college he served in Americorps, building houses in Americus, Georgia for Habitat for Humanity. He has been a woodworker for fourteen years. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar and bass, reading up on design, and making art. Additionally he likes to get out to our National Parks and Forests as much as possible.
Zane Berhold | Woodworker
Zane Berhold is a Washington native and a third generation woodworker.
James Bridgman | Woodworker
James is a second generation woodworker and a native of Washington state. He started working summers at NWCI during high school and is now a knowledgeable craftsman on a bench. When not at work, James is a highly skilled dirt biker and loves exploring all the pacific northwest back country has to offer.

Terence Carlson | Engineer
A proud Washington native, Terence comes from a family with a long history in the custom woodworking industry. Formally of Northwest Millwork, Terence came to NWCI after the family business closed its doors. He has worked as a project manager and engineering manager for the past decade, primarily on commercial and residential projects in the Hawaiian market. In his free time Terence likes to tinker in the garage, paddle board, ride motorcycles, target shoot and spend time with his dog, Koa. Terence is a massive Sounders and motorcycle racing fan.
Scott Dermish | Woodworker
Scott spent four years as a apprentice in Cleveland Ohio completed in 2005 then moved to Chicago, IL to work with a custom build outfit, and attended Chicago Bauhaus Academy for furniture making and design. In 2009 he moved to to Seattle to pursue wooden boat building. He has two children with his partner, Melena. Eli who is 7 and a genius “master builder”, Maxine 5 a painter/dancer/artist extraordinaire. His hobbies are spending time with the kids and family, woodworking, backpacking, hockey, reading carpentry and woodworking forums and collaborating on creative projects.
Pete Dero | Woodworker
Pete grew up in Minnesota and honorably served in the US Navy as a Engine-man and considers himself a Motorhead. He has over 15 years of millwork installer experience. Pete enjoys Nascar, card games, traveling, mountain biking and live music.
Denis Doppenberg | Woodworker
Denis was born and raised in Issaquah Wa. Denis and his family still reside in Issaquah. Denis has been a finish carpenter for 15 years. Denis graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor in Science. Denis enjoys spending time with his friends, and his wife and kids. He also takes his work home with him and enjoys home improvement projects.

Carson Kemmer | Woodworker
Carson joined NWCI in Feb 2016 in the Millwork Shop with a passion for woodworking and the desire to develop and learn. After growing up and graduating high school in Oysterville, WA he when on to complete his Associates of Arts degree in Olympia, WA. Carson spent many years in the commercial finishing industry and later on tugboats, but decided to put down firm roots on land and begin a family with his now wonderful wife in Maple Valley. Knowing the benefits of sweat equity, Carson enjoys working on projects in the garage and spending time in the outdoors hiking, hunting and finishing.
Andrew Killam | Woodworker
Andy was born and raised in Seattle. He graduated from West Seattle high school in 2004. Andy has been woodworking for 3 years, and also has experience with solid surface countertops. When Andy is not breathing, eating, and dreaming about woodworking, he enjoys skateboarding and snowboarding. Andy recently added a new energy filled puppy named Turbo to the family. Andy is a huge Sounders fan.

Brock Lnenicka | Door & Millwork Sales
A Yakima native, Brock has grown up in the lumber industry. His step father owned Blackstock Lumber which Brock helped manage for 15 years until it closed in 2017. During his free time, Brock enjoys a variety of sports including golf, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Gage Miller | Woodworker
Gage joined NWCI in February 2020 after working in aviation. In addition to being a cabinet builder on a bench, Gage was trained on the C.R. Onsrud CNC machine and quickly mastered the skills. In Gage's free time he enjoys snowboarding and dirt biking.
John Nakagawa | Woodworker
John Nakagawa learned cabinet making at Minneapolis Technical College. From there John utilized his education on reproduction woodwork, cabinet making and specialty woodworking in Minnesota and then Washington. His learned respect for wood and the forests comes from studying Environmental Studies at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He enjoys visiting the forests of the Pacific Northwest, and volunteering on forest restoration projects.
Rick Ramirez-Meyers | Millshop
Rick joined NWCI in September 2020 with 15-years of warehouse distribution experience and 7-years in wholesale distribution of hardwood lumber. He grew up in Seatac, WA and graduated from Tyee High School in 2004. When not at work Rick enjoys learning and reading more about the woodworking craft, perfecting his salsa recipe and smoking beef jerky on his Traeger.
Matthew Rossman | Woodworker
Matt is a lifelong resident of the northwest. Matt has been a carpenter and woodworker for 16 years. Matt is a master cabinet maker and woodworker, he enjoys working in the shop and taking on new challenges and complex builds. Matt is an extreme outdoor enthusiast, when he is not working he can be found cycling, hiking, climbing, travelling, and exploring the mountains.
Dan Saxe | Woodworker
Dan is a born and raised Washington native. He has a BA in religious studies. Dan served in the US Army. Dan is a master carpenter and has 25 years of finish carpentry experience. When not creating sawdust, Dan enjoys playing soccer, golf, sailing, and has recently taken to dirt bike and dual sport motorcylcling. Dan also enjoys quality Scotch and internet fail videos.
Troy Skillman | Woodworker
Troy is a Washington native, born and raised in Everett. He graduated in 2001 from Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA. Troy had his first carpentry job in 2005 and fell in love with the creative construct of wood working. When not at work, you will find him remodeling his town house or working on a project of three. He enjoys sitting back with friends and family commiserating and/or celebrating Seahawks and Mariners success. Troy often braves the last frontier of Talkeetna, Alaska to visit his sister and nephews. Troy enjoys the Northwest and all it has to offer. Hiking, Biking or just out exploring.
Toby Staley | Millwork Manager
Toby Staley, another Washington native, grew up on Whidbey Island and he and his wife are currently raising two teenagers in West Seattle. He has over twenty years of experience in the building materials industry, most notably working at Blackstock Lumber, a local family-owned business that recently closed its doors. Toby has a vast knowledge of the millwork industry and is a valuable resource to our customers. His hobbies include snowboarding with his family and running with his energetic dog.
